Senior Oracle DBA

Responsibilities
Provide high technical expertise in the use of Oracle DBMS. In addition, the DBA develops, maintains and enhances database code and provides architectural guidance to support the expansion of the database architecture. Implements and maintains smooth operation and physical design of databases. Reviews database design and integration of systems, provides backup recovery and makes recommendations regarding enhancements and/or improvements. Maintains security and integrity controls. Formulates policies, procedures, and standards relating to database management, and monitors transaction activity and utilization.

Principal Duties
Perform Database Administrator functions such as installing, upgrading/patching, configuring, backup/recovery, troubleshooting, monitoring and performing tuning on Oracle. Identify and execute product integration tasks and work with architects to make sure product use is consistent with the overall program direction and standards. Design and install Oracle database components, develop code and work with the software development organization to ensure functional requirements are met. You will serve as the point of contact with product vendor for support and integration issues. integrate with other COTS produts, configure, customize, develop, install, troubleshoot and provide operational support.

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree with 8 years of related experience and/or equivalent experience and training

All candidates must be US Citizens and be eligible to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance
