Executive Leadership

Gary Anderson
President and Chief Executive Officer

Utilizing over 30 years of experience in the Information Technology industry, Mr. Anderson founded Insight as a full service IT and business solutions provider. Gary serves as President and CEO of Insight and is responsible for the strategic direction and daily operations of the company. Additionally, Mr. Anderson oversees all of Insight's Government and Commercial contracts including the Department of Homeland Security, Department of Health and Human Services and the American Red Cross.

Prior to Insight Technology Solutions, Mr. Anderson co-founded KCM Computer Consulting, a software consulting firm that provided IT services on a national basis. Gary served as Senior Vice President and was responsible for all business development throughout the United States. After 10 years of dramatic growth and an expanded national presence, KCM was successfully acquired by a major public corporation.

Mr. Anderson's initial IT career started with Federal, State and local governments surrounding the Nation's Capital. Gary's governmental experience has proven to be invaluable in expanding Insight Technology into an industry leader in the Washington Metropolitan market and strategically throughout the United States.

 

Tom Downs
Vice President of Business Development

As a Partner, Mr. Downs brings over 18 years of experience in business development to Insight Technology.  Tom serves as the Vice President of services and solutions for commercial and governmental clients, with special emphasis on Department of Homeland Security related business practices.

Prior to Insight, Mr. Downs founded Mentor Consulting Services, a turnkey Information Technology Services provider.  Mr. Downs served as the President and was responsible for all business development efforts.  Mentor merged with Orus Information Services, where Mr. Downs served as EVP of National Business Development.

Mr. Downs has served as a Vice President, and Director for National consulting organizations in both the public and private sector.  He began his partnership with Mr. Anderson at KCM Computer Consulting, where he served as the Director of Business Development.

In addition to the business development efforts at Insight, Tom was instrumental in the company’s acquisition of its facility clearance.  Tom currently serves as the company’s Facility Security Officer (FSO).  This close tie into security functions allows the business development teams rapid responses to any and all security related business.
