Systems Monitoring Specialist
Responsibilities
Designs and develops highly complex, integrated solutions to meet business requirements or enhance performance. Identify polices & procedures in a Back-up & Recovery Plan and Back-up data and server system hard drives. Manage server systems for all storage networks (SANS) as directed by the collaboration with operational staff. Validate the integrity of the back-up copies and provide security of server system backups, including testing to ensure backups are recoverable
Principal Duties
Perform an incremental back up of server data on a nightly basis. Provide current day recovery from disk storage. Provide off-site retention of weekly full back-ups. Data retention may be reduced in the future to only 90 calendar days. Provide weekly tape and VTL backup reports. Provide full and comprehensive backup policy report government upon request. Maintain records to back up and recovery server data and provide reporting to the Government. Provide plan for server data storage backup that is consistent with the federal NIST guidelines & requirements.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with five (5) years of related experience. Equivalents: High School diploma with nine years of specialized experience in related field, or Associates Degree with seven (7) years of experience, or Masters Degree with three years experience, or Doctorate Degree with one (1) year experience.
All candidates must be US Citizens and be eligible to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance
