Windows/Solaris Administrator  

Responsibilities
The server team is responsible for the administration and maintenance of all servers in the environment

  • Install and configure Windows 2003 servers
  • Install and configure Solaris/Linux server
  • Work with Sun and Intel based hardware
  • Administer Windows 2000/2003 running multiple applications
  • Administer Solaris/Linux servers running applications in secure environments
  • Create secure Windows server images
  • Maintain Citrix for remote users
  • Maintain VMware environment
  • 3 years experience with Microsoft Servers
  • 3 years experience with Solaris or Linux servers
  • One year experience with VMware and virtual servers
  • One year experience working with Send/mail
  • Some experience with Apache and chroots on Solaris/Linux
  • Administered or worked with Citrix, imaging systems, Active Directory including Group Policies, Microsoft Operations Manager, and SMS
  • Microsoft, Sun or Linux certifications are a bonus

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 3 to 5 years experience in direct server administration or equivalent experience and certifications
  • All candidates must be US Citizens and be eligible to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
