For the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation, Insight led a variety of IT projects over 5 consecutive years.  These projects included the design and development of financial applications that were critical to the mission of Freddie Mac and the processing of home loans. The following are some examples of the related projects:

Mortgage Processing System:  Insight was responsible for providing the design, development and implementation of a system that bridged old technology into a new web-based mortgage purchase system.  This consisted of COBOL II modules calling a JAVA service via CICS and WebMethods, obtaining newly purchased loans and storing the loans on a DB2 database.  Insight was also responsible for resolving issues related to the migration of SUN’s version 6.1 C++  compiler, correcting problems with the production source code and managing issues with the current operating system.

Management of the project involved coordinating information between team members, managing resource allocations and task assignments, and the validation of the analysis, system design, system test plan and system architecture.

Tax Automation – Retained Assets (RMA) Project:  Insight was responsible for the redesign of the existing Retained Assets system into an efficient web based application.  The new application was developed using JAVA, DB2 on an Apache/Tomcat platform.  The system was redesigned from a batch oriented application into a real time system, which supported automated batch processing using SAS.

Summit Integration Initiative:   Insight provided business analysis, systems training, development and documentation, system integration and data flow processes for projects related to the Debt and Derivative Accounting Groups.  These projects required collaboration with third party vendors and client SME’s to prepare accurate procedural documentation to satisfy requirements for internal training and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
