Insight Awarded 7-Year Logistics Support Contract by the United States Coast Guard (USCG) Asset Project Office (APO)

Insight is pleased to announce that we have been awarded a new contract with the United States Coast Guard (USCG) Asset Project Office (APO) to provide integrated logistics support (ILS) services to assist the APO in meeting development, integration sustainment transition goals for the Offshore Patrol Cutter (OPC) program.

Acquisition of the OPC is the one of the USCG’s highest investment priorities. The OPC will provide a capability bridge between the national security cutter, which patrols the open ocean in the most demanding maritime environments, and the fast response cutter, which serves closer to shore. The 360ft ships will feature state-of-the-market technology and will replace the service’s 270-foot and 210-foot medium endurance cutters (MECs).  The OPC Program of Record (POR) is 25 hulls with the first hull scheduled for delivery in fiscal year 2021.

Insight will help to develop overarching integrated logistics planning, supply support, maintenance, packaging, handling, storage and transportation (PHS&T), support equipment, programmatic ILS planning assistance and execute a level of repair analyses (LORA) to determine subsystem and equipment support planning. Insight will also assist in the review of the OPC shipbuilder’s submittal of ILS artifacts, such as Provisioning Technical Data (PTD), Engineering Data for Provisioning (EDFP), Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) analyses, and PHS&T documentation, to ensure contractual compliance.
